I am pleased to have a piece of work in this exhibition. Most of us have, in one way or another, experienced mental health issues and art is a really creative way of exploring and expressing feelings and experiences. 

In the run up to World Mental Health Day, 10 October, Bradford District Care NHS are holding a major art exhibition – the 1in4 art exhibition - with the support of, and in, Salts MIll, Saltaire.

The exhibition will be showcasing innovative and thought-provoking artwork created by people who have experience of mental health problems. Digital artwork will also be featured by Roy Lilley, artist, health writer and broadcaster and Terri Porrett, artist and health professional who will showcase powerful photographs inspired by mental health.

The exhibition will aim to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and encourage people to talk openly about issues that can affect us all. It will feature art work from people with experience of mental health and a film featuring people sharing their own personal stories of mental health will also be showcased during the exhibition.
